Those of us who celebrated Canada's Centennial in 1967 remember how proud we were that the world was watching us.
Time magazine's cover story for Friday 4th April 1967 told of Canada girding itself for the greatest celebration in its history.
More than 60 heads of state visited Canada that year and those leaders, with the possible exception of General de Gaulle, liked what they saw. Canada was honoured as the very model of a civil, democratic and free country. Canadians basked in the glow of the spotlight.
Now 40 years later, Canada is once again in the world's spotlight. But now the press is here to write about thought crimes and kangaroo courts and the prosecution and persecution of Christian pastors and the death of free speech. The New York Times is covering the demise of free speech in Canada. American TV and talk radio speak of the socialist repression of freedoom in Canada. What a slap in the face of all veterans who fought for Canada.
We are becoming a police state. The Canadian Human Rights Commission has a perfect conviction record. Not even the monster Stalin could manage that! Nor could the Star Chamber Courts of the middle ages. Today in 2008, Canadians are hauled before a phony court with phony judges and put through an illegal process where truth is no defense and conviction is guaranteed from the moment a complaint is made. There is no defense to any charge.
Canadians now are allowed to hold only government approved opinions. And Canadians still are not stirred to action.
Many Jews in the 1930's didn't believe that a civilized nation such as Germany could become barbaric. Wasn't Germany the land of Beethoven, Goethe, Brahms, and Einstein? Some saw what was happening. Einstein, though he said he had no head for human problems, saw the human problem developing in Hitler's Germany, and left. We know how this delusion played out for most of the Jews in Germany.
Canadians do not want to believe that Canada is rapidly sliding into a police state. It is proceeding much as Germany did. Disarm the public. Hitler passed gun registration laws to protect the people. Soon anyone with a Jewish surname had his gun confiscated. Next chill free speech. Only certain opinions are allowed, in the interests of the public naturally. Turn the law over to bureaucrats. Germany focused on regulations for Jews only. Canada seems to be focusing on Christians. Both Christians and Jews believe in a power higher than government. And tyrants simply can't have that.
The destruction of Canada must stop now. Canadians must remove politicians who are intent on creating a new Canada based upon ideas which have failed in the Balkans, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and the USSR. No multi-culti democracy has ever existed. Only tyrants can hold such a strange animal together.
How much longer will we allow ourselves to be lectured to about how we need to accommodate immigrants? Do your guests lecture you? Any politician who wants to remake Canada should be asked, What is wrong with the old Canada? Canadians never asked for demographic change. We never voted for it directly. This was foisted on us by Trudeau and his thugs. This is the price of socialism, the need for an increasing population of tax slaves. The traitors in Ottawa and the provincial capitals think that Muslims and Africans will be those slaves, even in the face of mounting evidence that these people have nothing to offer, or worse, want to obliterate what we have.
How much longer will we be told only certain ideas are valid? Soon the government will create a committee to determine if Christian ideas about the sinfulness of homosexuality are valid! Burro-craps will decide on the validity of what has survived 3500 years. Will these burro-craps have the intellect of Moses, Paul, Augustine, or Charles Spurgeon? You know the answer.
Your children will live in a tyranny because you did nothing. Because you thought Canadians were different. It happened in Germany, the pinnacle of art and science. Even the most nationalistic Canadian can't make that claim with a straight face. Yet we think we can remain apathetic, cowardly, and free.
Stand up for your children. They are going to live in the nightmare we are allowing to develop.

An excellent post, Wheatington. You are one of few who seem to recognize where the true dangers lie.
Those Canadians who died in order to pass on a life of freedom and a country of wealth to others would be livid at the Canadians who live and disgrace the freedoms and the country for which they were willing to live and, if need be, die. That most treachery against the country is being done by those who are elected to represent the people is not, to them, a defense. Many of those are at rest not too far away, and they rest not so comfortably.
So many of the problems facing our countries are being given faces. Those faces are White and Jewish. The left is willing to use those, while placing blame on others. As you pointed out, they have done so in the past in Germany. Loyalties held by the Left lie exclusively with the Left.
Where are ours? In fact, where is our patriotism, or even our ability to avoid cringing when we see a flag? We have through apathetic disinterest allowed our own indoctrination.
