The Ontario Court of Appeal has set out a framework for lower court judges to apply in balancing the fair trial rights of a defendant against the religious freedoms of a woman who wants to wear a veil that covers everything but her eyes.
In paragraph 85 of the ruling sharia is made clear: A veiled women can ask for an order to clear men out of the courtroom — any men in the public gallery, any male court staff, even her opponent’s lawyer, even the judge himself — in return for taking off her veil.
Nowhere in the history of the West have people allowed masks in public and certainly never in court, other than trials of national security. Nowhere in the history of the West has a witness had any right to exclude anyone from court, let alone the defendant's lawyer! Now Muslimas may also clear even the judge from his seat!
The Court of Appeal ruling says:The reliability of her veiled testimony could actually be better.
Without the niqab ... one could not expect her to be herself on the witness stand ... her embarrassment and discomfort could be misinterpreted as uncertainty and unreliability.
Allowing the niqab could be seen as a recognition and acceptance of those minority beliefs and practices.
There's the problem. Just when Europe and even Chancellor Angela Merkel is saying that multi-kulti is a bust, Ontario's elites are still towing the Trudeaupian line. Of course, it was Ontarians who kept electing the Philosopher-King well after we should have known better!
The irrationality of Islam is now infesting our system of justice, having damaged our freedoms of speech. Many of my posts are illegal under the Ontario Human Rights Commission's rules of fairness. Of course, if I said about Baptists or Catholics what I say about Muslims, I would be safe from the OHRC. Only Islam is protected, protected even from the truth of its teachings and history.
I urge every Canadian to protest this decision. I know an Ontario Court decision affects only Ontario Courts but given the history of Islam, other provinces will be pressured to follow Ontario's lead to perdition.
It is Almost Midnight in the West! Defeat sharia or live under it.
